My birthday is still about a month away, but I've already got plans! I'm contemplating having a pizza party, and, provided I have enough money, I'll buy myself a better laptop to write my stories on!

I finally have a name for the dying planet I'm going to put in my next Star Trek story. It'll be called Batari. Here's the skinny: The planet Batari has a serious problem. Its core has stopped spinning, and it can no longer generate a magnetic field to protect itself from the solar winds of its parent star. In desperation, Batari puts out a planetary distress signal. The first ship to respond is the space liner Hindenburg. Her mission will be to rescue as many people off Batari as possible before the planet deteriorates and dies.

I discovered that my "Heartburn Hotel" song is not only based on an old Prevacid commercial, but that some of the lyrics were the same! I sure hope I don't get busted for copyright infringement...*crosses fingers and toes*
